Congenital cataract in infants requires rapid intervention. After surgery to remove the natural lens, the infant needs a special contact lens to replace it, and this is a critical window for visual development. Enyanei Einaim is one of the few clinics in Israel specialising in fitting and following up with infants after cataract surgery.
Why is this urgent?
The brain learns to see during the first two years of life. Without immediate optical correction after surgery, amblyopia (lazy eye) develops and is very difficult to correct later on. Early fitting is critical for normal visual development.
Our expertise
We fit contact lenses for infants from as early as one day after surgery, in cooperation with paediatric ophthalmology departments at all hospitals. We teach parents to change the lenses at home and provide close follow-up throughout the early years.

We take full responsibility: parents receive personal guidance, a direct phone number and fast availability for any question or urgent lens change. We understand this is an emotionally demanding process and do everything we can to ease it.
